Dali Sidewalk (2)

A sidewalk seemingly made of cast cement in the aincient town of Dali in Yunnan province southwest China. Taken on our mid winter vacation in January of 2003.

I'd be very interested if anyone knows anything about the history of this sort of paving tilework. Drop me a line if you have thoughts on the subject.
