Typical U.S. Sidewalk

This particular picture is of the sidewalk up the hill from my sister-in-law's house in Baltimore MD, but is typical of the vast majority of U.S sidewalks.

It is made up of slabs of concrete (1 to 2 meters on a side) poured in place by the side of the road.
